December 2023 FIDO received a welcome Xmas present.  After many tries FIDO is now registered as a charity.  This will allow us to get access to a larger pool of grant funds and if we achieve tax deductible status we will be able to accept donations and the donors will be able to claim the donation on their tax.

This has been a long time coming but it is a very welcome result for FIDO.  One of the very first things it will allow us to do will be to nominate FIDO as a community group for recycling – containers for change.   You will soon be able to exchange your recyclables for cash and donate the cash to FIDO.

We will keep you updated when we become registered as an environmental organisation and gain tax deductible status.
